With the Week 7 Thursday night game now nearing the end of the 3rd quarter I figure it’s probably a good time to post the Week 6 results. This past week is why I think fantasy football is so great. Yahoo! makes predictions on what the score might be, but the games still have to be played and anything can happen once the games start. It’s just that sometimes the results favor the wrong team (not mine). That was the case during Week 6. Going into the Sunday night game things were looking good for the Konmen. I had a double digit lead, ItsShowtime had 2 Green Bay WR’s and the Houston TE playing on Sunday night, and I had 2 RB’s playing on Monday night. Well, Green Bay went off and the two receivers put up over 45 points, which is just unheard of for wide receivers. Owen Daniels chipped in another 5 points and suddenly the Konmen were 35 points behind with both RB’s playing in the Monday night game. My hopes for a monster comeback were dashed by a crazy game between Denver and San Diego. Of the 8 touchdowns scored during the game, none were scored by either McGahee or Matthews. The Konmen have now scored 742.80 points this season, the most in the league by over 30 points, yet sport a 3-3 won-loss record and stand in 5th place.
A whopping 45 points were scored by the Konmen in Football Pick ‘em, finishing in 24th place. I can’t say it’s beginning to get ugly, it already is and things are not looking up. I’m now 65 points behind the leader standing in 25th place. It’s time to start riding out the season, cause the overall lead is pretty much out of reach.
