Thank you AP for the suggestion to download and use portable applications run on an external hard drive or, in my case, a thumb drive. You may wonder why I’d want to run an application off an external hard drive. Well, this way I’m able to use applications I might normally use on a home computer without having to install them on the work computer. In this case I’m talking about Google Chrome and Firefox. The only question is… why didn’t I think of this before?!
K – that is a great concept. I’m wondering if such a thumb drive would be compatible with the 5 1/4 floppys I use for my Atari 800. Any thoughts?
Sometime in the near future we’re going to have to get you training on advancements in technology since the 80′s. Maybe Suffolk County Community College has something for you. I’m sure your employer would be more than happy to help with tuition reimbursement.
That sounds great – if not at the school, I can maybe do it online – I got dial-in functionality through my phone…it’s good, but then no one in the house can make calls….
I’m not sure how you come up with this stuff, but that gave me a pretty good laugh.
