Last night I was notified that my taxes are complete and a refund of a little over $700 will be coming my way. Hmmm, wonder what I could buy with that amount of money?

nothing. nothing at all. being a finance minded person you should know that that money would be put to a much better use by being reinvested in an IRA type fund. Think of the years of interest and financial peace of mind you could receive off of that $700.
Is the basically fleeting satisfaction of running your fingers across the smooth, sleek 7.5 inch ipad screen really worth it?

A major reason for getting a refund this year is because of the Making Work Pay tax credit. Since the credit was based on helping the economy, I think it’s only reasonable for me to use that money to buy something. See, you’re not the only one that can rationalize.
btw – I’m investing in a Roth IRA anyway.
