Oh so close. Not surprising to anyone that knows me, I’m also in a 4th league, another survival pool. This one has a limited number of players each paying a hefty sum to enter the league. All my picks in this other league have been the same as the survival pool listed below. The only difference is there are only 3 players left in this league. With Atlanta winning the early game and the other 2 players picking Seattle, I was living on a little high when Detroit went up by 14 early in the game. I was going to come into a little money, I was already planning to go out to dinner to celebrate. As usual, I was counting my chickens before they hatched (I think that’s how the saying goes, but I could be wrong). Seattle ended up coming back for the win and I’m left to play another week. Here’s the rest of last weeks games and a look forward to week 10.
Survival Pool:
Week 9 Pick – Atlanta
Remaining Players – 14 (33 eliminated)
This year has got to be the longest survival pool ever. For the first time in ages there seems to be a big difference between the haves and have nots, which has resulted in a longer than usual survival pool. I mean, it’s week 10 already, this thing should be over. So far this season I’ve picked Baltimore, Minnesota, New York (N), Chicago, Philly, Green Bay, Indianapolis, San Diego, and Atlanta – all of which are not available to be picked again this season.
Week 10 Pick – New Orleans
Pick ‘em:
Week 9 Points – 63
Total Points – 746
Overall Rank – 10th
Still 16 points behind first place, I’m going to have to make a move at some point, only problem is that means I actually have to pick winning games.
Week 10 Upset Picks – Kansas City, New England, Green Bay
Fantasy Football:
Week 9 – Won 128-71 against Too Tall Jonesin’
Overall Rank – 7-2, 2nd (10 teams)
Overall Points – 1045 (3rd Most)
An easy win, let’s hope I can do the same against the Commish.
Week 10 Starters – K. Warner (QB-ARI), S. Smith (WR-CAR), D. Driver (WR-GB), H. Ward (WR – PIT), A. Petersen (RB-MIN), M. Forte (RB-CHI), T. Jones (RB/WR – NYJ), J Shockey (TE-NOS), O. Mare (K-SEA), Denver (DEF).
Week 10 Bench – C. Palmer (QB-CIN), S. Moss (WR-WAS), D. Keller (TE-NYJ), D. Henderson (WR-NOS), K. Smith (RB-DET), R. Moats (RB-HOU)
Week 10 Yahoo! Projected Score – 128-105 (vs. Commish – 6th Place – 964 Points).
