It’s 2 AM and I’m just starting this post. My early afternoon drinking at the Whaler turned into a 4 hour nap until 9 PM. I’ve been up ever since, not because I can’t sleep, I just haven’t tried to. Anyway, I just realized the weekly fantasy football update never made it up this week, so here goes.
Survival Pool:
Week 8 Pick – San Diego
Remaining Players – 15 (32 eliminated)
Another 2 teams were eliminated last week, bringing the league down to 13, I have a feeling teams are going to start falling quickly now that the easy games are out of the way. This week I chose between Atlanta and New Orleans, both 10+ point favorites. For the first time I’m looking forward to next week in picking Atlanta this week, which could be a dangerous plan. New Orleans is schedule to play St. Louis next week, which means I should make it to week 11 with a win this week. So far this season I’ve picked Baltimore, Minnesota, New York (N), Chicago, Philly, Green Bay, Indianapolis, and San Diego - all of which are not available to be picked again this season.

Another Monday where I needed points to win, this time just 2 points from Shockey and Henderson, both New Orleans players. They both came through with points in the first quarter to put me over the top making for an easy win. With my star player, Peterson, on a bye this week, I’ve had to make some adjustments. Even now as I write this I might have to make another adjustment with my backup RB, K. Smith (DET) listed as questionable.
