It seems I might have stumbled on a potential Fantasy Football Triple Crown. I’m currently involved in 3 fantasy leagues for the 2009 football season all using Yahoo! and all run by a buddy out in Denver. First, there’s the classic fantasy football league, the pick ‘em league, and the survival pool. Through 4 weeks of the season, I’m 4-0 in fantasy football and in first based on points scored, 3rd place in the pick ‘em league of 50 players (although I haven’t actually won a single week yet), and still alive in the survival pool (31 of 47 teams still remain). Is it possible to win all 3 leagues during the same season? What are the chances of winning the Fantasy Football equal to the Triple Crown? More importantly, have I jinxed it all by bringing it up? Time will tell. On to week 5!
On a side note, a college friend submitted an iPhone app to Apple which was approved during the past few days. Considering my enormous readership (yeah, funny) I thought it would be great to give him some props… and a link. Check it out if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch. The app is called QpixL and it’s free. It allows you to upload pictures to QpixL, ask a question based on the picture (think Hot or Not with more far reaching capabilities), and get responses from your social networks on Facebook and Twitter. Yes, I’ve downloaded it. No, I haven’t actually used it. I’m not a big picture person, but will give it a try eventually. Either way, I think it’s a cool little app for those of you that like to take pictures and get people’s opinions. And this might help him reach his goal of making money while he sleeps. How sweet would that be?!
Wow! Great job K, after 4 whole weeks!
Here are my predictions for K for the remainder of the year:
1 – K's Fantasy Football team loses the next 10 games and finishes 4-10, finishing tied for last place with the guy who also said he was poised to win it all….
2 – K picks 2 out of 15 games correct every week for the remainder of the year to finish 50th out of 50 people. And unfortunately, he does not win any single week.
3 – K's pick in the survival game loses this week, getting shut out 47-0, thus ending his chance to win that contest.
K – YOU FOOL!!! What were you thinking???
The coach of the Konmen reiterated this morning that he's "not here to kiss anybody's rings. The Konmen are here to win and are certainly not intimidated by the other teams in the league."
And, on a similar note, the Konmen will be picking the Dolphins to win during week 5 against the Jets, ending my run through the first 4 weeks of the season.
