you are of course assuming that he has internet access at home…
Let’s face it, he only came into the 21st century because work gave him the option. Personally, I am still waiting for my call to go the Apple store with him which he’s been talking about for over a year now.

That’s right, I did have a previous problem with Directv noted in the linked post below. Although I would have to say it wasn’t as big a deal as this one. My brother is seriously debating on cancelling Directv service for a while since the next few months are going to be busy for both of us. I’m torn about this option right now with the new season of 24 starting soon.

I’m pretty sure it’s Joker’s turn. I can’t imagine he’s having that much trouble thinking of a customer service fiasco. Then again, it wasn’t until recently that he decided to forgo his brick sized cell phone to move into the 21st century. I wouldn’t be surprised if he still uses NetZero for internet access at home.

wow-deja vu. I remember the Direct TV rant from Denver! As for my personal ‘horror story’, I shall sum it up as follows:

1) start with estimate for transmission repair for $700.00 and change and a few days in the shop.
2) end with $3000.00 repair bill, SIX WEEKS in the shop, a letter from my cheap-o AMEX lawyer to release my car and a filing with the BBB.

I would fill in all the sordid details but I can’t afford the ensuing weeks of therapy….

Sorry to hear of your High Def issues. I certainly have had my share of frustration with ‘Customer Service’ types (although none with Direct TV). I’ll see what the cream of the crop was and let you know.
